Somehow I don’t think an S10 would be the best race car or tow rig. I like them but if I had to tow a car (and we’ll assume tires and tools) I’d want something a little bigger.

I asked about towing on here this weekend and got a shit ton of solid advice. Sadly it all pointed away from the BMW wagon I was looking for an excuse to buy. However now that I’ve been schooled a bit I’m looking at old Suburbans and Broncos and the like.

Yeah I read that thread a few days ago. I would personally vote Suburban or Silverado because the single cabs can be had pretty cheap. Also it probably said somewhere in HHFP’s article, but I’d recommend trailer brakes too. My 4Runner recommends them over 3000 pounds and I believe it. I had about 2000 on it at one point and it wasn’t in too much of a hurry to stop.

Can confirm the S10 isn’t a great race truck. They’ve got a reputation for the frame bending. Ranger and Tacoma are good though
